The past few days have been very busy. Bob spent all weekend at Grandma Carolyn's house digging a big hole in the basement to put in a sump pump. Bobby and I went on Saturday to spend the day, but Bobby was not happy. He wanted to be outside, not spend the day inside at Grandma's. Bobby and I skipped the work party on Sunday and stayed home and played outside all day long. The book fair is this week at school and it is the one event that I volunteer my time. I drop Bobby off at the back door at school and drive around to the front, go in, work in the library all day, get Bobby from his classroom, go home and go outside for the rest of the day. I am not prepared to be outside all evening until dark, we usually don't do this until summer, not end of winter/beginning of spring.
The temperature on my car thermometer was 83 degrees when we left school today. Bobby has been non-stop saying "swimming" over and over and over. He just doesn't understand that even though it is in the 80s, it is not time to open the swimming pool. So, I made an executive decision, and stopped to buy an inflatable pool to use for now. Talk about a happy kid!!!!
He circled the pool a few times before he finally decided to get in.
Once he got in, he sat down and stayed for about 45 minutes before he got out. Cold water has met it's match with Bobby Smith!!
The little bitty pool in front of the big, "fun" pool!
Bobby spent a lot of time pouring water over his head, great practice for hair washing.
I'm a happy boy!!
He went inside and ate some dinner, then back into the pool for another 40 minutes. If the weather forecast holds true, looks like the pool will get much more use this week. Two more days of book fair duty then home to swim. Whoo Hoo!!!
I took pictures of our trees blooming while Bobby swam. Since it is the first day of spring, I have to share at least one...
Happy First Day of Spring!
