In Bobby's World, there is NOT a better way to spend a Sunday than riding the Rhino with Daddy. The boys loaded up the Rhino and headed off to go on a riding trip...
These two poor boys are so used to humoring me now that they pose for pictures without resisting. Bobby literally could not wait to get into the 4 Runner to leave...
They were loaded up with snacks, drinks and a change of clothes for Bobby and they were off on their way...
It just makes my heart so happy when Daddy plans a fun day for just the two of them!!
They went riding at one of Bob's co-workers in Preston Co. Apparently they took a break from riding near some water and got out to move around. Bobby walked right into the water and was in paradise. Bob (to me when they got home): "He went into the ice cold water, sat down and fell backwards into the water. It was like he was being baptized. He had the biggest smile on his face."
Luckily for me, Bob's co-worker got his phone out and took a couple of pics of Bobby playing in the water...
They probably didn't want any proof that they let Bobby immerse himself in the cold water, so I didn't get any pictures of the "swimming" fun.
When they got home I ran out to take some pictures of the boys arriving home...
I was so happy to see my boys! While Bob was putting the Rhino away, Bobby wasn't ready for the fun to be over, so he found something else to put into the trailer...
He thought that he would ride it down the slope. It didn't roll down the slope like either one of us expected...Good thing!!
The only problem that we face on days when Bobby gets to have these uber fun days...transitioning back to the real world. He kept fussing with Daddy..."ride Rhino! Ride Rhino!" over and over. I made him go in and take a bath which helped tremendously. After he played in the tub for a while he got out and watched an episode of "Jack's Big Music Show" and then all was right with the world again and the transition process was complete. He went to bed very easily Sunday night. Totally worn out after a perfect father/son day!!
