Daddy looked at the forecast and we were finally going to have a good forecast week. He took vacation from work and started working on opening the pool. The first thing on the agenda for the pool this year....new pool steps. The old ones had seen better days so Daddy shopped around online and ordered some wedding cake stairs so that Bobby would have more stair room because he spends a great deal of time sitting on the stairs in the water. When Bobby got home and saw what Daddy was building, he was super excited!!
Then Daddy added one more step to the stair case and Bobby was even more excited. The stairs were finally put into the pool and Bobby just could not stand it, he HAD to get in....he just didn't care how extremely cold the water was!
You know that it's cold when you can't even put your arms down.
He didn't stay in long, but did get in the next day as soon as he got home from school, thankfully the temperatures were in the high 80s and Daddy had the solar heater hooked up and the water was a little warmer. Bobby actually stayed in the water for almost 1/2 an hour. Bring on the summer!!!
Daddy had a great idea for the old pool steps.......
He found some wood scraps in the garage and made a much needed staircase for the trampoline.
Daddy is the one responsible for Bobby's personal playground. When Bobby was 2, we got him a swingset for his birthday which Daddy put together himself. Last summer Daddy built Bobby a platform swing for his swingset because he loved the platform swing that he used in occupational therapy. A couple of evenings ago, Bobby used his platform swing all evening.
A couple of years ago when it was clear how much Bobby loved the water features at our local pool, Daddy built Bobby a waterfall of his very own in our above ground pool.
Not sure what we would do without Daddy making Bobby's World just a better place to be!!!!!!
