A Halloween Miracle

Halloween is not big on Bobby's priority list.  In fact, every year we seem to celebrate less and less.  He got two costumes to choose from this year from the Stepping Stones costume giveaway and he chose...NEITHER!!!  He put one on for 20 seconds before he took it off.  Alright Bobby, Mommy gets it, no costume!!  I did get him a cute (rather, SCARY, ohhhhhhhh) shirt to be Bobby's costume for school...
He's so scarrrrrrrrry!!!!!!!!!

We attempted to go to the PlayWorks special needs Halloween party.  Bobby was not in to it in the least!!!  He ran right through the playroom and stayed in the back room and looked out the window...
Obviously the party wasn't the Halloween miracle, so we left.
When we got home I had to do it, one of my least favorite things; however, it has been such a big struggle every morning when we are getting ready for school.  I had to cut off Bobby's beautiful hair.  I love it the length that it was in the previous picture.  He doesn't love getting it washed (takes too much water to rinse it out), he won't let me wet it down in the morning, so we have to wash it every morning before school.  He also hates having it combed.  This wasn't the big miracle either.  I buzzed it, but he wouldn't let me go back over it and get the little stragglers.  Oh well, my cold was getting worse and I really didn't care.

I had some pumpkins at home in my fall decorations, so I brought one inside so that we could carve it into a Jack 'O Lantern.
Smells good!
Giving the pumpkin a kiss.
Glad that Mommy got all of the goo out of there.
I decided to take Bob's drill and make some holes instead of carving a face.  Yeah, my I could have cared less by this point, I just wanted to lay on the couch and rest from my crazy cold.

I got up and made some dinner.  Bobby had already had his dinner by the time that Bob and I ate.  So,   I made our plates and we sat in front of the TV to eat our dinner since I didn't feel well.  Yes, this is where the Halloween miracle happened.  Bobby came over and stood by me, reached down and picked up a green bean off of my plate and ate it like it was no big deal.  He reached down got two more and ate those, reached down got a few more and ate those.  Bob and I sat there literally with out mouths open while Bobby ate some more green beans.  I went to the kitchen and put some green beans on Bobby's plate...
After he finished the one's on his plate, he got the bowl and ate some more.  Now, you have to understand that Bobby does not eat food that is not hard and crunchy with the exception of bread.  He has not eaten a vegetable in at least 4 years.  We were SPEECHLESS and JUMPING FOR JOY!!!!!  Hopefully he will eat them again (I stopped on my way home and bought some more!!).  But in Bobby's World, this is truly a Halloween miracle!!!!!!!
