Bobby went swimming before everyone else decided to get in the pool, so he was ready for a new adventure when the rest of the guests went swimming. So, Rhino rides with Daddy it is!!!!!
Sonny and Joey took turns jumping in to the pool. Here goes Joey...
I only got one pic of Sonny because he wanted to jump closer to me and I had to put the camera down to keep it from getting wet...
However, Sonny made us all laugh!!! Grandma Carolyn was just floating around in the pool when Sonny decided that he would climb up on and float too...
Of course, it didn't turn out like Sonny had anticipated....
Oh Mr. Sonny!!! You are too funny!!! Zoi got too hot and hid out under the porch. She wasn't going inside for anything...afraid that she was going to miss out on a hot dog or potato chip that fell to the ground!!
A little more swimming...
Bobby still getting Rhino rides...
Then the boys all got together for the next activity....JUMPING in the trampoline!!
Didn't get any presentable pictures of all of the boys jumping together. Joey got out first and went over to play on the swing set. He tried out Bobby's new platform swing...
He likes a regular swing better. So he went off to try something else, the monkey bars...
He figured out how to get across on his own!!! Way to go Joey...
A little bubble fun next for Mr. Joey...
Bobby found some shady solitude while Joey was playing bubbles...
Hanging out on the hood of Daddy's car!! He's getting some much needed "Bobby peace" by looking into the woods and being at one with nature. Sonny came back outside to play after his own break from the crowd. Sonny got his "peace" by getting his favorite Bobby item from inside the house...
The beloved iPad. Me: "Sonny, you only love us for our iPad!!!" While Bobby is still sitting on the car in the background, Sonny needed to get his calm on by dancing with the iPad...
A lesson that we have learned over the years....we have to give our kids their space to decompress. It makes them happier, which makes the whole party happier!!
I had Sonny and Joey stand together for a little photo shoot. The first picture turned out, well, just look for yourself...
HA HA HA HA HA HA
Cute!!
After the other Smith family went home, the rest of us got in the car so that Bobby could have a "ride in car." We ended up at a small country graveyard...
Why??? We stopped to look for Bob's grandparents, Bobby's great-grandparents, grave. We actually found it...
After we got home the rain finally came. We decided that we would skip going to the fireworks display and put on pajama's on and got ready for bed. The rain ended and the skies cleared for fireworks time. By this time, we were done for the day. Maybe, just maybe, next year we will be able to stay up, or maybe not. We have 364 days to prepare!!
