I know that he feels better than he did earlier in the week because he has been driving me crazy. He is a little stir crazy. I think that he is as bored watching Nick Jr. as I am in hearing it in the background. So what else is a mom to do (that lives on top of a big ol' hill), but bundle the kids up (well Zoi is bundled up by nature) and take them out in the snow. Thought that you might like to see some pictures of the snowy fun.
Welcome to a glimpse into the world of my 12 year old son, Bobby, who happens to be on the more severe end of the autism spectrum. We spend a great deal of time playing outside, spending time with his peers, and venturing out into the community...all while I take way too many pictures. Finally, A Real Snow Day
I knew it, I just knew it!! Actually, I told a couple of people yesterday that the snow that was predicted was going to come and we were going to get more than expected. I also said that there was going to be a snow day today since Bobby had only gone to school one day this week after his horrible stomach flu. My intuition was right and school was indeed cancelled and Bobby gets a three day weekend. You know, he needed a break after that one big day of school. In all honesty a break is probably what he does indeed need. He still doesn't have that much of an appetite and yesterday when he was in school, he got his coat out of his cubby a little after 1:00 and put it on-he was ready to leave. A three day weekend to get back to 100% is a great idea for him, but for mommy, not so much!!

Zoe is gorgeous! And so is that snow! I have very fond memories of snow days back in Ohio. Now it's 64°F in Dubai and we're all "freezing"... Wearing coats and boots and they have space heaters outside at restaurants. Wow how things have changed! I hope you and your family have an excellent weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no, 64, should I send you some long underwear???? This snow event was just a "dusting," we haven't had a big snow yet. I will post pictures as soon as we do. Maybe I will just knit you a sweater from the hair that Zoi sheds everday so that you can make it through the winter :) Stay warm in the frigid desert!!!
