When I picked Bobby up from school his teacher told me that he had an awesome day. It's exactly what you want to hear when you pick up your child, especially when we had a many month period where we got the opposite news. Things are finally back on track.
We came home and I packed up the pool bag for the next activity in the Tiny Tykes Triatholon (through Stepping Stones for people with disabilities). Bobby saw the beach towels, ran upstairs and put on his speedo and ran downstairs and said "swimming", "swimming". I laughed and said yes, but you aren't wearing that!! He put on his trunks and clothes overtop, we got in the car and off we went to Lakeview.
It took Bobby a few minutes to get into the water since the pool was already full. I purposefully went late so that we would not have to wait until time to get in, which can be a painful wait for him.
Bobby "praying" that the initial jump goes well...
The bad part about this pool, Bobby can touch, so no swimming, just jumping and splashing. Oh well, he had fun.
Our good friend Sonny was also there. Any one who came in contact with Sonny today knew that he was going swimming, it's all he could talk about.
He was making a funny face for the picture.
I was standing by the pool and kept hearing my name. I finally figured out that that Sonny's brother Joey was the one saying my name...
I think that he just wanted to show off his "helper." WVU students volunteer their time (usually for class requirements) and are "helpers" for the Tiny Tykes events.
On the way home from swimming, Bobby and I stopped at the grocery store to get a few items. He did a great job holding my hand and helping to push the cart. He picked some new cracker off of the shelf and put it into the cart, one that we had never eaten at our house. I can't wait to see if it is something that they have eaten at school. He got it out of the grocery bag in the car and had me open it and he began eating. Bobby even helped carry the "light" grocery bag into the house from the car for me.
Finally home and having some play time in his room. He had me get out a bin from his closet and he began playing...
What a great day!!!
Congrats on the great day! Love those! :-)
